JOHN JAMES VILJOEN
James Viljoen is a senior admitted Attorney (Jan 1983) and Conveyancer (Dec 1984) of the High Court of the Republic of South Africa who holds a B.Proc Degree from the University of the Orange Freestate and has been in practice for more than 35 years.
James is highly experienced in commercial and conveyancing matters. He has spent a significant amount of time advising clients on, negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements of an engineering, construction and professional services nature for local and international clients.
James also specialises in risk management and insurance law with extensive litigation experience in both the Higher and Lower Courts.
James’ other expertise includes trust law and corporate restructuring. James has extensive experience in contract negotiation and company registrations in USA, Australia Botswana Zambia Mozabmique Mauritus.
Prior to establishing his own practice in 1999, James acted as in-house counsel for a prominent insurance broker specialising in professional indemnity insurance and legal risk management.

Andries Hansen is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of the Republic of South Africa who holds an LLB Degree from the University of Johannesburg and he is also an accredited commercial mediator.
Andries specialises in High Court litigation involving commercial and contractual matters. He has spent a significant amount of time litigating in complex matters of a corporate and commercial nature involving high profile individuals, major banks and various blue chip companies.
Andries also advises clients on administrative and procedural issues in terms of the Companies Act and commercial transactions. He also has proficiency in the drafting of general commercial agreements, trust deeds and wills.
Andries’ other expertise includes trust law, estate planning and the administration of deceased estates.
Prior to going into private practice, Andries worked in the legal department of an international mining consortium which was listed on both the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and the Canadian Stock Exchange where he was responsible for the drafting of commercial, mining and engineering agreements, the administration of tenders and the management of procurement related contacts.
